The Sale Representative will promote and market the company's products, focusing on key channels/accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and timely payment collections. Candidates should have hardware industry experience, a strong cultural fit, and a track record of exceeding targets.

JOB TITLE : Sales Representative

LOCATION :  South-based candidates preferred, but must be willing to attend training, meetings, etc., at our Trincity location as needed

 

CORE DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

General: The incumbent will be required to profitably promote and market the Company’s range of products and provide excellent customer service, with key focus on the specified channels/routes/accounts and on timely collections of all payments. Candidates with experience in meeting and exceeding targets/budgets, prior hardware industry experience or knowledge would be a strong cultural fit with our organization

Specific Responsibilities & Accountabilities: (Non-exhaustive)

1. Promoting and selling of the Company’s products, continuously seeking new

opportunities for introducing products to customers.

2. Placing customers’ orders and following up on delivery of products.

3. Handling customer questions, complaints and billing queries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism.

4. Managing customers’ accounts within the limits of the credit facilities offered to them, in accordance with Company Policy.

5. Collecting revenue and making authorised adjustments to customers’ accounts where necessary.

6. Keeping management informed by submitting activity reports such as: - daily visit reports and territory analysis.

7. Monitoring in-store displays of products to ensure visibility of products.

8. Verifying inventory wherever the Company’s products are sold and ensuring availability of product.

9. Assisting in implementing advertising/promotional campaigns.

10. Conducting market research as requested from time to time

11. Continually maintaining working knowledge of all Company products, services, pricing and promotions.

12. Making recommendations according to customers’ needs.

13. Performs in-store promotions including sampling as required

14. Attends meetings and training/product development seminars as required.

15. Other duties as assigned.

16. Ensuring compliance to Health and Safety issues.

 

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. A minimum of five (5) GCE/CXC Levels passes, two (2) of which must include English and Mathematics.
  2. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the Hardware, Agricultural and/or Automobile
  3. industries.
  4. Proficiency in point of sales hand-held devices/systems
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Detail oriented.
  8. Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  9. Ability to work with little supervision.

  1. Must be mobile-Availability and willingness to commute throughout Trinidad and Tobago
  2. Must be the holder of a valid Driver’s permit.
  3. Must own a reliable motor vehicle.
