Overview: Our client is looking for a hands-on Sales & Operations Manager to lead sales and account for growth in the food distribution space. This role is ideal for someone with experience in retail and foodservice channels, who enjoys a mix of relationship management, operations, and identifying new market opportunities.

You will join a small, collaborative team where your work has direct impact. From initial client contact to order fulfilment and follow-through, you’ll be involved in every step of the sales and service process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Build strong relationships with senior personnel across key retail and foodservice accounts.
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead the full sales cycle—from outreach and proposals to implementation.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales and marketing strategies for key accounts.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends and competitors.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations and proposals.

 

Client Relationship Management

  • Conduct regular visits to existing and potential clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover new needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor—understanding each client’s business and offering practical solutions.
  • Investigate and address any issues affecting sales performance.

 

Operations & Administration Support

  • Assist with ordering, processing import documentation, invoicing, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Support internal sales and office operations to ensure smooth execution from sale to delivery.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experienced in the food industry, preferably in a sales, account management, or product management capacity.
  • Skilled at building relationships and comfortable working closely with both clients and suppliers.
  • Must be self-motivated, practical, and hands-on, demonstrating a consistent ability to take initiative.
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Holds a valid Driver’s License and open to frequent travel to client sites.
  • A background in a business-related field is preferred.
