We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Merchandiser to manage the placement, promotion, and sales of parts, tools, and equipment across retail outlets and distribution points.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Merchandiser to manage the placement, promotion, and sales of parts, tools, and equipment across retail outlets and distribution points. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing product visibility, ensuring accurate stock levels, driving sales performance, and maintaining strong relationships with store managers and key clients.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Merchandising:

  • Promote and sell parts, tools, and equipment to retail stores.
  • Ensure optimal placement and visibility of products on shelves and displays.
  • Implement and maintain merchandising standards according to company guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend stock replenishment to prevent outages or overstocking.
  • Provide product knowledge to clients and where necessary.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with store owners, managers, and staff.
  • Act as the point of contact for merchandising concerns and sales support.
  • Collect feedback on product performance and customer preferences.

Market Intelligence:

  • Track competitor products, prices, and promotional activities.
  • Provide feedback and reports to the sales and marketing teams to guide strategy.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and areas for market expansion.

Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of merchandising visits, sales activity, and inventory levels.
  • Prepare weekly reports on sales performance, product movement, and customer feedback.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or degree in Sales, Business, Automotive Technology, or Marketing is an asset.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales or merchandising, preferably in the Sales industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Working Conditions:

  • Field-based role requiring frequent travel to client sites and retail outlets.
  • May require occasional lifting of products and setting up promotional displays.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Technical aptitude for understanding and explaining tools and equipment.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
