The Business and Employment Centre is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for the role of Sales & Marketing Manager.

Job Title: Sales & Marketing Manager


A leading tourism attractions company in Barbados is seeking an experienced, target-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead its Sales and Marketing function. This is a senior management role suited to someone who can drive revenue, strengthen tourism partnerships, lead a team, and ensure that sales and marketing initiatives are properly executed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day performance of the Sales and Marketing team.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to promote a portfolio of attractions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, tour operators, DMCs, wholesalers, and other tourism partners.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and develop campaigns, packages, specials, and promotions to drive revenue.
  • Lead the team in meeting set sales targets by developing revenue-driven initiatives, monitoring performance, and taking corrective action where needed.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, partner meetings, familiarization trips, site visits, and industry events.
  • Oversee group bookings, VIP hosting, partner visits, and event-related sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly sales reports, including recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage the department’s annual budget and ensure financial objectives are achieved.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales and marketing, preferably within tourism, hospitality, attractions, or a related sector.
  • Experience working in a target-driven sales environment, with a proven ability to meet and exceed set targets.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with tourism partners and industry stakeholders.
  • Experience in campaign development, event planning and promotional activity.
  • Strong reporting, analytical, and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Knowledge of the Barbados tourism market would be an asset.
