Sales and Marketing Lead

 

LOCATION

Mannings Hill Road, Kingston 8

 

HOURS OF WORK

40 hours per week, 5 days a week.   Up to two Saturdays per month

 

SALARY

Salary scale discussed at interview

 

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

To lead the Sales Team ensuring the entire sales process for each Customer goes smoothly with efficiency, helpfulness and professionalism.  To spearhead and implement the Company’s Marketing strategy

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Sales

  • To have excellent knowledge of the Product and Pricing and to be able to communicate this to Customers
  • To organize the Sales Team in their role ensuring that they are driving sales and meeting monthly targets
  • To ensure phone lines are being answered in the standard way, that calls are handled efficiently within the recommended 10 minute time frame
  • To ensure consistency in sales processes.  To monitor the Customer Process ensuring standards are being maintained and Customer concerns/complaints are addressed.  To monitor entries into Quickbooks, ensuring that all information is completed
  • To be committed to following procedures regarding inventory, ensuring that invoices and work orders accurately match each other.  To routinely check through work orders on Quickbooks ensuring that there are no duplicates and to be aware of the production schedule that will fulfill these work orders.  
  • To follow Company procedure with regards to billing cycles.  To keep a track of accounts receivables and prepare a receivables report for the Financial Director
  • To be the main point of contact with the Factory on production. To communicate with the Factory Manager, Inventory Officer and Senior Production Supervisor ensuring that matters that arise are handled effectively
  • To oversee ongoing building contractor accounts, ensuring payments and deliveries are up to date
  • Ultimately responsible for deliveries. To manage the delivery process, arranging deliveries and minimizing problems that may occur. To update the factory of any changes to orders, times etc.
  • To follow the Company procedure for handling Showroom inventory, ensuring that the minimum stock level is maintained. 
  • To meet with the Financial Director and Managing Director as per agreed to present reports on sales prospects, status of orders in progress, receivables and Marketing updates

 

Marketing

  • Responsible for making recommendations regarding the company’s Marketing and Promotions strategy.  Responsible for working within the set Marketing budget
  • To execute agreed Marketing and Promotions strategies
  • To work with the Managing Director in organizing expos and trade shows
  • To arrange the annual customer Christmas giveaways
  • To suggest changes to the website and maintain the website with new photos and information
  • To actively maintain the Company’s social media profile
  • Along with the Sales Coordinator to keep a vibrant and active Facebook and Instagram page

 

Human Resources

  • To inspire, lead and motivate the Sales Team in their roles
  • To conduct staff appraisals
  • To work with the HR Administrator in recruitment of Sales staff
  • To work with the HR Administrator in identifying training needs and set up programmes accordingly
  • To conduct on the job training for new sales staff and refresher training as needed
  • To see that disciplinary procedures are carried out fairly and according to company standards

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To perform duties consistent with your position that may be necessary from time to time
  • To be prepared to work flexible hours where necessary
  • To ensure the workstation is kept tidy at the end of the day including emptying bins if necessary
  • To contribute to office cleanliness
  • To ensure goods are packed away as they are received

Experience in maintaining Corporate Social Media profiles

 

Proven success in employing effective motivation techniques

 

Experience in cash handling and charging Credit and Debit Card

 

Good experience in using Social Media

 

Experience working in logistics systems
