Job Summary

  • Create and build customer relationships by enabling interactions with key business executives and stakeholders to achieve targets on sales volume, gross margin contribution and trade debtors.
  • Obtain maximum sales benefits using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence the use of our products. Accomplish business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans to increase BTB effectiveness and towards achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with company’s objectives, vision, and values.

 

Accountabilities

  • Achieve targets for sales volume, gross margin contribution, trade debtors, credit management and prospecting
  • Contract management, consistent customer visits, customer satisfaction

 

 Key deliverables will include but not limited to:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters and developing customer specific action plans in consultation with the Commercial Manager
  • Developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific customers including pricing development, proposal writing, customer presentations and contract negotiations.
  • Achieve monthly and annual targets on sales volume, gross margin contribution and trade debtors, AR, DSO, Overdue %.
  • Tracking and reporting on the status of C&I activity within your remit (Weekly: Journey and Customer Visit Plans, Customer Visit Reports, AR Update, Prospection and Contracts Report).
  • Identify new commercial opportunities and develop methodology and materials to represent REJL’s competitive advantage in the market.
  • Manage collections as per credit terms and the Company’s Credit & Collections policy for all Class of Trade: Fuels, Lubricant, Fleet & Chemicals. 
  • Maintaining costs and expenses for the Commercial Sales within budget for fuels, lubricants, fleet, chemicals
  • Ensuring flawless implementation and compliance with the high standards of Rubis Safety programs and completing five (5) HSE audits at customer sites monthly.

  

Qualification, Experience & Skills

  • Ideally, a first degree in Sales/Marketing or related subject areas
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in in business development, account management, marketing, and sales
  • Excellent selling and negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Should be proficient in computer usage - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Be Team oriented and open to flexible working hours
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as basic financial reports, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Customer Service oriented
