About the Role
Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in his/her market segments. He/she is also responsible for prospecting and closing on accounts in the assigned territory to positively impact hotel revenues.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct WOW sites, entertaining and educating potential sellers of the Resort on property.
- Develop a full working knowledge for selling the amenities of the resort, including Food and Beverage, Spa and entertainment hours and policies.
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, sales calls, trade shows and written communication.
- Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Prepare and execute sales agreements/net rate agreements with assigned accounts as per contracting policies and rate schedules.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum five years of hotel sales experience in the same market(s) preferred.
Ability to multitask and have a high-level attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Maintain positive and productive working relationships with clients, other employees, and departments.
Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
