NATURE & SCOPE OF FUNCTIONS:
To co-ordinate, develop business activities by purchasing vehicle product lines, researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans; implementing sales plans; managing staff while meeting or exceeding profit targets and customer expectations, and adhering to budgetary constraints.
Job Description:
- To maximize shareholder value through long term and short term strategic and operational plans, and budget to achieve improved profitability of the department.
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and goals.
- To achieve maximum market penetration for the brand or brands sold.
- To manage the Showroom and the Sales Team to achieve agreed profit levels and sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes.
- To maintain agreed budgeted inventory levels.
- To purchase vehicles for sale according to Company policy and procedures.
- Train, mentor, and motivate sales staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer experience.
- Maintain knowledge of current market trends and competitor activities.
- Manage inventory and ensure optimal stock levels.
- Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- To ensure the satisfactory operations management of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business Administration/Marketing or relevant field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record in sales management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
