Sagicor Life of the Cayman Islands Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Revenue team in the capacity of:
Sales Manager (Contract)
Responsible for managing, directing and growing the sales team to achieve production targets and business objectives.
Lead the charge in fostering the development of a harmonious and collaborative work environment.
Location: George Town
As a Sales Manager, you will:
- Lead the Sales team by ensuring team members/Unit Managers understand products and services, sales targets, business practices and customer service standards and requirements.
- Provide oversight and guidance to Unit Managers to motivate their sales teams to achieve activity and other stipulated targets.
- Responsible for day-to-day development of Unit Managers.
- Responsible for recruitment targets.
- Create and management sales incentive programs.
- Mentor and coach advisors to meet their professional development needs.
- Design, implement and manage a targeted action plan relating to the management and coaching of the sales team to ensure achievement of the productivity target.
- Manage the conservation and retention of business on-boarded within the standard review period outlined by the Company.
- Network within the Cayman business community to identify potential business opportunities.
- Provide monthly reports to the Country Head on activity and sales performance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable insurance laws, regulations and company policies.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Management Studies or relevant discipline or Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP) designation.
- The successful completion of Advanced Insurance Programmes such as CLU, Ch.FC, FLMI or any other related management programmes would be an asset.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ working experience in Insurance Sales.
- At least 4 years’ working experience in Sales leadership role or Life Insurance Operations.
- At least 4 years’ working experience at the Supervisory /Managerial level.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Strong management and selling skills.
- Effective coaching skills.
- Excellent selling/ negotiating skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Excellent human relations skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to produce reports.
