Account Executive

ROLE OVERVIEW

Novelty Gimmicks Ltd. is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to grow revenue, build strong customer relationships, and expand our corporate and retail client base. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, prepare quotations, and recommend the right promotional, branded, and custom merchandise solutions for each client’s needs.

This role requires someone who is comfortable using a CRM system, can demonstrate a proven methodology for qualifying prospects, and has a track record of meeting quarterly sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across corporate, institutional, retail, and event-driven markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Promote the company’s range of promotional products, branded apparel, stationery, journals, diaries, awards, and related custom merchandise.
  • Meet with clients to understand branding, gifting, event, and promotional requirements.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and product recommendations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use the company’s CRM platform to track leads, manage follow-ups, update opportunities, and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Apply a structured sales methodology to qualify prospects by identifying need, budget, decision process, timeline, and solution fit.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline, provide accurate forecasts, and follow up consistently to improve conversion rates.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and production staff to ensure accurate order processing and on-time delivery.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets, account growth objectives, and quarterly performance goals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field would be preferred, or equivalent combination of relevant sales experience and training may be accepted in place of formal tertiary qualifications.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in sales, account management, business development, or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
  • Experience in B2B sales, promotional products, printing, branding, corporate gifts, apparel, or related industries would be an asset.
  • Hands-on familiarity with CRM systems for pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and follow-up activities.
  • Ability to clearly demonstrate a proven methodology for qualifying prospects and progressing deals through the sales cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet quarterly sales targets and manage performance against KPIs.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
  • Professional appearance, sound judgment, and a strong customer-service orientation.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation would be an advantage.
  • Must have own laptop and headset/headphones.
  • Police certificate of character required.
  • Training or certification in sales, customer service, CRM platforms, or account management would be an asset.
