Sales Executive

The Jamaica Observer Limited – A member of the IRE Group of Companies is seeking to recruit a Sales Executive.

Sales Executive

• Solicit sales of advertising space.
• Maintain records of contacts made with clients via telephone or in-person visits.
• Prepare presentations/proposals for clients.
• Respond to agency queries and complaints.
• Collect payment from clients for advertisements booked.
• Obtain required credit approval for clients.
• Attend all sales and departmental meetings as required.
• Keep abreast of the company's and competitor's products.
• Assist with the development and implementation of advertising/marketing strategies and promotional programs as assigned.
• Prepare annual sales plan.

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience:

• Tertiary level training in Sales and/or Marketing.
• At least one (1) year of experience in a similar. 
• Knowledge of sales cycle and selling techniques.
• Holder of a Valid Driver's License.
• Owner of a reliable Motor Vehicle.
• Knowledge of company products, advertising rates, and discounts would be an asset.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally.
• Ability to close sales and contracts.
