The Senior Advocate is an experienced attorney responsible for supervising junior staff, leading a broad range of practice areas and cases, ensuring the preparation of high-quality legal documents within internal and court-mandated deadlines.

            Supervision and Mentorship

  • Review drafts prepared by clerks and junior attorneys, providing detailed feedback and edits to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards;


  • Mentor and guide Junior Associates and Trainees, fostering professional growth and development;


  • Lead client consultations and case analysis presentations, offering strategic legal advice and insights.

    Case Management and Legal Strategy
  • Prepare closing submissions and conduct comprehensive strategic legal analyses as required;


  • Liaise with staff to ensure adherence to early filing protocols and internal deadlines;


  • Oversee compliance with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) timelines, ensuring all filings and submissions meet required statutory, regulatory and industry standards.

    Client Relations and Compliance

 

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and any pertinent developments;

 

  • Attend the office six (6) days per week for a minimum of eight hours daily (preferably between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.);
   General
  • Appear in court (in person and virtually);
  • File court documents, deeds, legal documents and other official documents online, physically and otherwise;
  • Place themselves on record for clients of the firm and or partners in various court & other matters;   
  • Conduct legal research, meet clients, take instructions;
  • Organize files, post legal documents, manage precedents;
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence.
