Job Summary

As the Sales Manager you are responsible to lead our sales team, drive revenue growth, and optimize sales operations. In this role, are also responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing sales budgets, overseeing team performance, and ensuring outstanding customer service.

With a focus on efficiency, market trends, and competitive analysis, you will play a key role in maximizing sales opportunities while fostering a high-performing and motivated sales team. You will also collaborate closely with the Marketing and Warehouse teams to align sales strategies with market demand and inventory levels.

Above all, you are expected to promote and uphold workplace safety standards while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Oversee and manage all employees within the Local Sales Department, as well as any other personnel involved in the sales and distribution of the company’s products and services.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring employees are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed.
  • Restructure and optimize the sales team for maximum efficiency and effectiveness, implementing best practices to improve overall performance.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings to review team performance, set objectives, and drive motivation.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement annual sales budgets and expense targets to achieve business growth objectives.
  • Prepare and execute annual sales forecasts, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained. Work closely with the Warehouse Department to adapt to market fluctuations.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies and identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain and increase sales volumes, product mix, and pricing strategies based on supply-demand conditions, economic indicators, and competitive landscape.

Reporting & Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Provide the Marketing Department with valuable insights on market conditions, competitor offerings, and potential new business opportunities.
  • Generate monthly sales reports, offering a clear assessment of sales performance and key market insights.
  • Identify sales gaps and develop corrective action plans to ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Design and implement efficient sales processes, documentation, and performance tracking to enhance sales productivity.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Masters in Sales/ Marketing or Business Administration
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in a product-driven industry.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with expertise in market research, sales forecasting, and budget planning.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while aligning with broader company objectives.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
