SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER

Overview

The Sales & Marketing Manager will be primarily responsible for executing the sales strategy of the Resort with the ultimate objective of maximizing revenues across all revenue generating outlets to include rooms, meetings & events and food and beverage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Liaise with the General Manager and Corporate Directors in adopting price strategies across the Resort, and in devising and implementing the overall sales and marketing plan for the Resort.
• Actively monitor the Resort’s progress in terms of achieving KPI’s, budgets and revenues.
• Fully conversant with Hotel PMS, Synxis and SiteMinder.
• Analyse current markets and identify new markets and potential clients.
• Proactively manage and monitor the Resort’s profile on the various social media platforms.
• Develop and agree on departmental sales plan and communicate them clearly to all parties.
• Manage the guest database.
• Represent the Resort at trade fairs, promotions and tourism events, both at national and international levels.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, International Tourism, Hospitality or related discipline, will be an asset.
• Commercially focused, can analyse market data and be results driven.
• Articulate, confident with good public relations skills and an emphasis on oral and written communication.
• Self starter and team leader with the ability to ideate around concepts and bring to life marketing strategies and drive revenue.
