About the Role
As a Risk & Compliance Operations Officer, you will play a critical role within the Sentinel Escalations team, acting as the central touchpoint for monitoring and resolving approval delays. You will support KPMG U.S. Risk Management by ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and speed in the Sentinel approval process while partnering closely with senior-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Escalation & Monitoring
- Serve as the primary contact for escalation matters by actively managing the US-FM RISK Sentinel Escalations mailbox.
- Monitor Pending Approval Dashboards to track real-time status of requests and anticipate delays.
- Apply escalation protocols using a structured matrix that considers opportunity value, key accounts, and time pending.
- Initiate and manage SLA-driven follow-ups with Engagement Partners, Sentinel Lead Partners (SLPs), and Ethics & Independence Partners (EIPs).
Communication & Stakeholder Support
- Draft concise, professional communication for senior-level stakeholders to gather required information and drive timely decisions.
- Maintain continuous follow-up on outstanding escalations to support speed-to-market objectives.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Analyze data from the SLP Performance Dashboard and other reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Document all escalation activities to support audit requirements.
- Assist with collecting feedback to evaluate escalation process effectiveness.
- Support foundational independence clearance tasks when needed.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in knowledge-sharing across the team and support special projects.
- Work collaboratively under a shared services model with U.S. stakeholders.
Education & Experience
To be successful, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of work experience, preferably in process monitoring, case management, or project coordination.
- Experience in a public accounting or similar professional services environment is a strong advantage.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- JESS uses a hybrid work model, allowing staff to work from home in Jamaica or in the office. Employees must be in the office at least five days per month, with more days possible if required by business needs.
- You are expected to use KPMG-approved Generative AI tools to support your daily work tasks.
- Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities.
- May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays.
