Overview
We are seeking a disciplined and accountable Store Manager to oversee the daily operations, financial performance, and overall efficiency of a busy food and retail outlet.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, controlling costs, enforcing operational systems, and ensuring consistent store performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee all day-to-day store operations
- Ensure smooth execution of opening, closing, and shift procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and customer service
Staff Management & Leadership
- Supervise, schedule, and manage staff performance
- Enforce policies, procedures, and accountability
- Train staff and ensure consistency in operations
- Address performance issues and maintain discipline
Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier coordination
- Monitor and control inventory variances and shrinkage
- Implement measures to reduce waste (raw materials and finished products)
- Ensure proper stock handling, rotation, and storage
Cash Control & Accountability
- Oversee daily cash handling and reconciliation
- Investigate and report all shortages and overages
- Ensure strict adherence to cash control procedures
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly reports
- Track key operational metrics including food cost, variances, and sales
- Ensure all reports are complete, accurate, and submitted on time
Performance Management
- Maintain control over food cost and operational expenses
- Reduce losses related to wastage, errors, and stock discrepancies
- Support overall store efficiency and performance improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a food, retail, or quick-service operation
- Strong understanding of inventory management, cash control, and cost management
