The Retail Sales Supervisor is overall responsible to manage two (2) Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cake Jamaica Ltd. (TCRCJL) retail stores, overseeing daily operations, and monitoring daily / weekly / monthly sales revenue against the budget.

Job Summary
The Retail Sales Supervisor is overall responsible to manage two (2) Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cake Jamaica Ltd. (TCRCJL) retail stores, overseeing daily operations, and monitoring daily / weekly / monthly sales revenue against the budget. These deliverables will ultimately be evaluated using commercial key performance indicators (KPIs) as mutually agreed with Line Manager.
· Achieving or surpassing combined TCRCJL financial year budget sales revenue imperative for MBJ Kiosk & Falmouth Pier Retail stores.
· Executing all mutually agreed KPIs measured by a Balance Scorecard appraisal with Line Manager.
Effective operational management of the MBJ Kiosk & Falmouth Pier Retail stores including but not limited to, goods ordering, revenue tracking, staff scheduling, payroll calculations and sales reporting.
Complexity of Role
· Seek to keep up to date with the Travel Retail market and tourism consumer trends inside Sangster International Airport & Falmouth Cruise Pier Retail stores.
· Provide constant feedback to Line Manager on shopping consumers buying behaviours, trends, unique questions and issues by the MBJ Kiosk & Falmouth Pier Retail stores.
Financial Responsibility
· Ensure the accurate calculation and balance of daily revenue and make timely lodgment with the armored services company.
· To ensure accurate balancing of the daily on-shelf stock with assigned Sales Associate Lead and Sales Associate team members.
· Actively monitor and track the daily sales revenue against the financial budget for MBJ Kiosk & Falmouth Pier Retail stores.
· Send daily sales, lodgment and tracking reports to the Tortuga Senior Management and Finance team.
· Provide Line Manager & TCRCJL Finance team with the monthly sales report on the first day of the following month reporting for submission to MBJ Airports Ltd. Commercial Team.
· Alert Line Manager of any discrepancies with the daily funds once the check and balance has been completed.
· Assist TCRCJL Finance team with any variances in daily sales lodgments.
Commercial Responsibility
· Leading and motivating assigned Sales Associate Lead & Sales Associate team members to deliver an exceptional Customer Service sales experience with prospective potential shoppers.
· Ensure there are always adequate stock of Tortuga Rum Cake samples available for demo-sampling to shoppers.
· Ensure the MBJ Kiosk & Falmouth Pier Retail stores are fully stocked throughout the day with the full category product range of Tortuga portfolio, except Rums.
· Ensure MBJ Kiosk & Falmouth Pier Retail store shelves are to be cleaned at the start of every business day prior to opening.
· Send timely stock requests with the guidance of the Sales Demand Forecast tool provided by Line Manager.
· Follow-up on delivery dates and inform Line Manager of any short shipments from the TCRCJL warehouse.
· Coordinate with the assigned Sales Associate Leads, Sales Associates, Delivery Driver, and if any 3rd party contracted help to retrieve goods on delivery days.
· Immediately inform Line Manager and TCRCJL Supply Chain & Logistics Manager of any possible issues with the delivery, i.e., if goods damaged or broken / crushed products were received at the time of handover.
· Ensure all new promotional programs are implemented and executed based on the agreed timeline and period with Line Manager.
· Ensure proper FIFO stock rotation method is being adhered in bulk storage and Retail store merchandising shelves.
· Inform Line Manager of near dated / close to expiration products in stock to facilitate promotional activities to deplete and reduce financial loss risk.
· Monitor promotions and prices in POS system and ensure they align. If there are any discrepancies, immediately inform Line Manager, TCRCJL (Finance & IT) departments.
· Provide the TCRCJL Finance Payroll department with the number of work attendance hours for the assigned Sales Associate Lead & Sales Associate team members.
· Inform the assigned Sales Associate Lead & Sales Associate team members of the daily sales targets to achieve productivity bonus incentive, while individually assigning unit and Item SKU targets to Sales Associate Lead & Sales Associates on active duty.
· Ensure all Tortuga Rum Cake samples issued to consumers / customers are fresh and viable products and are a proper quality and taste representation of Tortuga’s premium guidelines.
· Ensure Tortuga Rum Cake samples are readily available at different entry points of the MBJ Kiosk & Falmouth Pier Retail stores, and a Sales Associate Lead &/or Sales Associate is always available to actively assist shoppers and potential customers.
· Manage the number of Tortuga Rum Cake samples issued to each customer to limit waste &/or customer abuse of free product.
Competencies/Requirements
· Preferably a bachelor’s or associate degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Hospitality/Customer Service, Marketing, Finance/Accounting or other related field disciplines.
· At least two years’ experience in a similar Supervisory role.
· Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).
· English language proficient, and conversational Spanish as a second language would be a plus.
· Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
· Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and root problem-solving skills.
· The ability to lead and motivate a Sales team.
· Must be proactive and take initiative on various tasks that may be presented.
· The ability to work as a valued team member with respect for chain of command authority and mutual respect of team members / colleagues.
· Exceptional interpersonal, customer service and retail store management skills.
· The ability to travel between Montego Bay & Falmouth as required.
· The flexibility to work on weekends, extended hours beyond scheduled time, and on holidays.
· The ability to stand for extended periods and lift medium to heavy boxes.
· The flexibility and ability to be called in as a floater on last minute shifts.
· Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
