Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a results-driven restaurant manager to oversee all operations and personnel. As an entertainment driven establishment, candidates need to thrive in a fast paced environment. To be successful in this role you will need to be well rounded and knowledgeable about marketing, entertainment, events, food and beverage operations. The salary range for the position is $12,500-$16,500.


Responsibilities:


  • Hire, train, and supervise restaurant employees

  • Create staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing

  • Track stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering as necessary

  • Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimise expenses

  • Develop pricing models to maximise profitability

  • Address customer needs, comments, and complaints

  • Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards

  • Process payroll and maintain all relevant records

  • Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards

  • Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel

  • Lead staff meetings

  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager and Entertainment Manager to develop, implement and execute Marketing Strategies.


The skills and experience that will help you succeed:


  • 3-5 years of food and beverage service industry experience is required

  • A minimum post-secondary education qualification is required

  • Working knowledge of general restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent leaderships skills

  • People oriented

  • Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets

  • Bookkeeping knowledge.

  • Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed

  • Extremely organised and detail-oriented

  • Knowledge of current bar/restaurant/restaurant industry trends

  • Have a wide personal network

  • An in-depth knowledge of marketing strategy, implementation and execution.
