Restaurant General Manager

Luxury Waterfront Dining Experience | Barbados

An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead one of Barbados’ most refined dining destinations. The successful candidate will be responsible for curating and delivering elevated service in a luxury hospitality environment.

The Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will take full ownership of the dining experience, setting the tone for excellence in service, leadership, and operational performance. You will be a visible, hands-on leader who inspires the team and ensures every guest experience reflects the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing restaurant team
  • Overseeing daily operations to ensure exceptional service standards, food quality, and ambiance
  • Managing budgets, inventory, purchasing, and supplies to optimise profitability
  • Driving service excellence through structured staff training, including beverage and wine knowledge
  • Collaborating closely with the Chef to ensure strong menu knowledge and effective wine pairings
  • Managing guest relations, resolving concerns professionally, and delivering VIP-level service
  • Driving revenue growth through strategic planning, leadership, and service innovation
  • Supporting overall hotel and restaurant operations as part of a close-knit management team
  • Acting as Duty Manager when required and working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, ideally within a high-end or luxury setting
  • Proven leadership ability with a strong service-driven mindset
  • Excellent organisational, reporting, and administrative skills
  • Computer literate with solid experience using restaurant or hotel POS systems
  • Strong customer engagement skills with confidence in guest-facing situations
  • Wine knowledge is a distinct advantage
