Research Officer

The incumbent is responsible for providing the strategic planning, policy making and development research framework for the institution by establishing an institution-wide approach to research and leading strategic research policies.

• Supports the creation and operationalization of the College’s approved Research Agenda
• Reports to the Research Manager on the implementation assigned areas of the Research Agenda
• Liaises with researchers and research team
• Supports the creation and implementation of research policies, procedures and protocols
• Plans and implements research activities aligned to institutional research policies procedures and protocols
• Utilizes data collection and analysis systems during the research process
• Engages in Research and publication to advance the institution Research Agenda
• Develops  and implements training plan to facilitate capacity building for staff and student researcher
• Support research related partnerships between the College and external stakeholders
• Monitors and supports staff and students engagement in research
• Leads personal and collaborative research activities as guided by institutional policy
• Serves as mentor to staff and students in the development of research competencies
• Support the use of data to drive institutional development
