Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our research and data collection initiatives in Aruba. The successful candidate will play a key role in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to inform strategic decision-making. Given the bilingual environment in Aruba, fluency in Dutch (spoken and written) is a mandatory requirement, along with strong English communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Review and translate research documents, surveys, and reports between Dutch and English.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, and research briefs.

  • Maintain research databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Support the development and implementation of surveys, interviews, and focus groups.

  • Summarize findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of research outputs.

  • Perform administrative and logistical tasks related to research projects.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field (Master’s degree is an asset).

  • Proven experience as a Research Assistant, Analyst, or similar role.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and verbal).

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with statistical software (SPSS, R, or STATA) is an asset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
