Job Summary:

The Relief Merchandiser has responsibility for merchandising and maintaining the aesthetics of all products distributed by the Company in retail outlets to enhance the customer experience, increase sales and maximize inventory turnovers. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain attractive presentation of the company’s products in compliance with Planogram
• Merchandise stores as needed, checking that adequate products are regularly available for customers
• Build and maintain display materials
• Liaise with retailers in identifying the best floor and shelf displays and seek to improve on space at all times
• Certify that damaged and expired goods are removed from shelves in a timely manner
• Organize products on shelves based on consumer age
• Use initiative to rotate products using the Last In First Out (LIFO) or the First In First Out (FIFO) methods
• Achieve strong visual impact within all key areas through the installation of Point of Purchase materials
• Report out of stock items to the Merchandising Supervisor, Regional Sales Managers, and Sales Representatives
• Report any other activity that might be significant e.g. competitors’ promotions, pricing etc.
• Ensure that company’s products are priced correctly for regular and promotional purposes, giving special attention to In-Store promotions
• Maintain good relationships with retailers by consistently maintaining company standards
• Perform a routine check for new competitive product lines and relay information to Supervisor
• Be innovative and creative when merchandising particular products during special seasons
• Maintain a consistent work ethic, report to work punctually and neatly attired in company uniforms
• Liaise with senior team members to gain additional expertise on how to fully achieve departmental goals
• Any other duties as may be assigned within the scope of the job
