Relief Merchandiser

C.R.A.V.E. Manufacturing and Distribution Ltd, authorized distributor of Continental Baking Company Limited, is seeking to recruit a Relief Merchandiser.

The Merchandiser will be responsible for conducting merchandising activities for the Company's products in any assigned outlet, while providing valuable market data and feedback to ensure consistency of product and service delivery.

Core Functions

• Arrange and maintain product displays according to Company standards and planograms.
• Ensure shelves, display units and promotional areas are clean, organized and visually appealing.
• Monitor product availability and restock shelves as needed.
• Apply the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method to maintain product freshness.
• Report low stock levels, damaged goods or quality issues to the Merchandising Supervisor.
• Set up and maintain promotional displays and seasonal campaigns as directed.
• Ensure all promotional materials are correctly positioned and priced.
• Communicate with store staff to coordinate product placement and resolve display issues.
• Share feedback on customer preferences, competitor activity and store conditions with the Merchandising Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Passes in at least three (3) CXC or GCE O’Level subjects.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position, preferably in the FMCG market.
• Good understanding of product placement strategies and visual merchandising principles to create eye-catching displays that enhance customer experience.
• Excellent negotiation and customer service skills, with proven ability to upsell products.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent human relations, communication, supervisory, time management, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Food Handlers’ Permit.
• Highly professional, ethical and of integrity.
• Required to work on weekends and public holidays, to meet operational demands.
