​Join Our Team as an Officer – Regulatory Compliance (Private Equity Team) (PE-COE)

Are you ready to be part of a high-performing team supporting one of the world’s leading professional services firms? KPMG Jamaica’s JESS is expanding its Risk Management – Independence function to support the Private Equity Center of Excellence (PE-COE). We’re looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and collaborative professional to join us as a PE-COE Officer.


What You’ll Do:
As a PE-COE Officer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the independence review of newly affiliated entities related to PE-COE accounts. You’ll work closely with KPMG US stakeholders to ensure compliance with independence rules and regulations, manage communications, and maintain meticulous documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify new acquisitions and affiliated entities.
• ​Analyze service history reports using Sentinel and Alteryx-powered tools.
• ​Initiate and track communications with KPMG professionals to gather engagement details.
• ​Document outcomes and make administrative determinations.
• ​Monitor BOT mailbox and escalate high-risk services.
• ​Maintain engagement documentation and shared drive folders.
• ​Participate in internal meetings and assist with special projects.

What You’ll Bring
Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• ​Minimum 3 years of work experience (public accounting experience is a plus).
• ​Familiarity with independence compliance rules and regulations preferred.

• Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• ​Excellent written and verbal communication.
• ​Commitment to client satisfaction and confidentiality.
• ​Ability to analyze feedback and contribute to continuous improvement.
• ​Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
  

Technical Competencies:

• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• ​Quick learner with aptitude for new systems and tools.
• ​Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• ​Ability to manage high-volume tasks independently and prioritize effectively.
• ​Critical thinking and sound judgment in complex scenarios.
  

Special Conditions:

• Our team is using a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home in Jamaica and being in the office. You will be required to spend a minimum of five days each month in the office, though this number may increase depending on business needs.
  
• Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Primarily working in a paperless environment using information systems.
• May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays.
