This role is crucial for providing specialized nursing care in a Med/Surg setting to patients with complex medical conditions. Responsibilities of Position

  • Provide specialized nursing care to adult and pediatric Med/Surg patients ensuring clinical excellence.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies and complex medical treatment.
  • Perform continuous monitoring and assessment of vital signs, cardiac rhythm, and patient progress.
  • Collaborate closely with intensivists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Training in EHR will be provided.
  • Act swiftly in emergency situations, initiate and assist in code blue and rapid response scenarios.
  • Educate patients and families about the plan of care and discharge planning as well as provide emotional support throughout their hospital stay.
  • Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

  • Strong clinical expertise in Med/Surg nursing.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Advanced cardiac life support and emergency response skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Valid and in good standing RN license.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • BLS and ACLS certification (Required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg unit.
