Regional Merchandising Supervisor

The Regional Merchandising Supervisor will report directly to the Company Director and will be required to manage a team of island-wide merchandisers within our client stores.

 

Competencies:

  • Proven experience as a Merchandising Manager/Supervisor/Coordinator within the distribution, retail, manufacturing or FMCP Industries
  • Experience as a merchandiser within the retail/distribution industry would be an asset
  • Strong leadership skillset is required to manage employees from diverse background with the ability to coach, develop, reprimand, train and manage a large team
  • Understanding of merchandising techniques, principles, standards and operations
  • Knowledgeable about planograms, shelf skirting, pricing strategies, promotional displays etc.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for scheduling merchandisers island wide at our client stores to ensure that products are placed, promoted on shelves while observing planograms, priced correctly among other merchandising standards of the Company
  • Performing day-to-day travelling to client stores island wide to maintain our company presence of goods on shelves which drive revenue growth
  • Responsible for the on-boarding and training of merchandisers to perfect their craft in the execution of their duties
  • Coordinate merchandiser engagement and motivation initiatives that will drive performance and boost merchandiser morale
  • Required to assist the company maintain its competitive-edge by investigating product pricing strategies, assisting in promotion initiatives and other strategies that boost expansion
  • Check store shelves to ensure that products are displayed/merchandised effectively taking into consideration goods rotation, planograms, gondola maintenance, pricing, space retention among other factors
  • Ensures that merchandising team removes expired goods from store shelves to prevent customer complaints and other discrepancies
  • Perform ‘pop-ups’ or planned visits to stores to oversee that merchandisers are at their assigned locations and adhere to rules e.g. dress codes etc. 
  • Formulate reports such as merchandiser activity, store activities and other industry data required to drive decision making
  • Required to meet with store managers, purchasing officers to solicit information regarding merchandising activity, complains, store orders etc.

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years merchandising experience is strictly required
  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or business-related study is required or experience in the merchandising field as a supervisor is required
