The Recruitment Coordinator has responsibility for the effective and efficient execution of day-to-day HR transactional functions, with emphasis on recruitment. This will be achieved by providing support to business units through the coordination of core HR processes.

HR Coordinator (Recruitment)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Company’s recruitment efforts to include but not limited to placing job advertisements on internal and external job boards.
  • Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial candidate assessments, and schedule interviews.
  • Support hiring managers throughout the selection and onboarding process
  • Conduct reference checks; extend job offers; conduct new-employee processing.
  • Coordinate the employee on-boarding and recruitment process ensuring that all steps are completed
  • Provide guidance to key business stakeholders on policies and procedures, HR and recruitment best practices
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives i.e. Employee Week, Wisynco VIBES
  • Update and ensure accuracy and currency of employee information on manual files & electronically on the HR system, based on established standards
  • Accurately and comprehensively post employee data in the relevant HRMIS database
  • Provide support where necessary for the day to day functions within department
  • Represent the Company at Job/Career Fairs
  • Any other duty as may be assigned within the scope of the job

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • First Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent field
  • Proven experience working in a similar capacity
  • Sound knowledge of Jamaican Labour Laws 
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of HRMIS is an asset
  • Highly confidential with strong work ethics and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, and with all levels of staff
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • People oriented and results driven, with excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
