We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist/Cashier to serve as the first point of contact for clients visiting or contacting our office. This role is critical to shaping the customer experience-greeting clients, managing front-desk operations, handling payments and guiding customers through the initial stages of their service journey.
In addition to traditional front-office responsibilities, the Receptionist/Cashier will actively assist clients in using General Accident’s digital tools and self-service platforms, helping to streamline service delivery and reduce wait times. Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Customer Engagement
- Greet and welcome clients, visitors and business partners in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls accurately and courteously
- Serve as the first point of contact for client enquiries and direct customers to the appropriate department
- Manage client flow within the office to ensure an efficient and organized service experience
- Maintain a clean, orderly and professional reception area
Cashiering & Transaction Support
- Receive and process premium payments and other transactions accurately
- Issue receipts and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
- Support premium finance and basic policy administration processes as required
Digital & Self-Service Support
- Assist clients with navigating General Accident’s digital tools, portals and self-service options
- Guide customers in completing basic transactions digitally to expedite service
- Encourage adoption of digital channels while ensuring a positive and supportive customer experience
- Escalate technical or service issues to the appropriate teams when necessary
Administrative & Team Support
- Assist with incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintain basic records and logs related to front-office activity
- Perform other front-office and administrative duties as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum five (5) CSEC passes, including Mathematics and English
- Prior experience in a front-desk, cashiering, customer service or administrative role is an asset
- Comfortable using computers, point-of-sale systems and digital platforms
- Strong cash-handling skills with a high level of accuracy and integrity
