Research Assistant (Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and well-connected Research Assistant to support targeted research activities in Aruba. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English or Dutch, possess deep local connections in Aruba, and be able to deliver accurate, verified, and timely information. The role requires travel to Aruba for a 2-week period, during which you will engage directly with contacts and organizations to gather data and insights.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted research in Aruba based on defined objectives and questionnaires.

  • Leverage existing local networks and contacts to access accurate, on-the-ground information.

  • Arrange and attend interviews, meetings, and information-gathering sessions in Aruba.

  • Document, verify, and submit responses in a clear, structured format.

  • Provide regular progress updates and ensure research objectives are met within deadlines.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English or Dutch (spoken and written).

  • Strong personal/professional network and contacts within Aruba (government, business, or community).

  • Availability to travel and stay in Aruba for 2 weeks as part of the assignment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple information sources, document findings, and meet strict deadlines.

  • Previous experience in research, data collection, or fieldwork would be considered a strong asset.

 

Compensation

  • Payment is performance-based, linked directly to the number and quality of research responses secured.

  • Travel expenses and project-related costs will be covered as per agreement.
