RETAIL STORE SUPERVISOR

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven individual to oversee daily retail operations at our Gros Islet location. The successful candidate will lead our sales, marketing, and accounts functions, supervise staff, and drive sales profitability through relationship-based selling and strategic business planning, all while maintaining the highest standards of compliance with Isratech and corporate governance practices.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business

  • Oversee sales staff, cashiers, warehouse personnel, and other employees

  • Manage finances and prepare an annual budget

  • Keep records of expenditures, sales figures, and employee performance

  • Evaluate the supply and availability of stocks and profit margins

  • Implement measures to avoid stock damage, theft, and wastage

  • Monitor shelves, stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store

  • Investigate market trends and offer products that would appeal to customers

  • Address customers' requests, comments, and complaints

  • Motivate employees to achieve targets

  • Train new staff members

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully supervising the sales team

  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's customer base and ensures its strong presence

  • Own objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives

  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs

  • Provide sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products

  • Monitor stock and inventory, and perform quality assurance of merchandise on a regular basis

  • Ensure new merchandise gets to the sales floor in a timely manner and shelves are not left empty

  • Maintain outstanding store condition and a high standard of merchandising, placement, store signage and display

  • Develop and implement business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic and increase sales and profitability

  • Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays

  • Provide training to improve the knowledge base of staff and utilise cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent

  • Handle staff conflicts, complaints, and problems

  • Promote collaboration between staff members to develop a productive work environment

  • Comply with safety, health and sanitation best practices and regulations

  • Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers to identify or resolve urgent issues

  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths

  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and maintain awareness of new products and services

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications

  • Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of all marketing campaigns including preparation of promotional materials, travelling to trade shows, conferences and sales meetings

  • Work closely with design agencies and assist with new product launches

  • Work closely with the accounts department

  • Create invoices for contractors employed by Isratech Caribbean Limited

  • Liaise with farm store owners regarding becoming resellers for JDI

  • Schedule and host events for resellers and customers as required

  • Visit farm stores island-wide in an effort to increase the number of resellers

  • Maintain quality customer service with resellers

  • Regularly update the list of resellers

  • Generate and submit quarterly reports of sales activities from resellers

  • Develop information and promote the products in your division by coordinating with the marketing department

  • Assist with regular cycle counts

  • Any other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors (Finance, Commercial/Sales, Legal, or related field)

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Administration/Business Studies, Commercial/Sales, and Accounting/Finance respectively

  • Advanced English (written and spoken)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
