Caribbean Business Exchange (CBX), a Division of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), is seeking to identify a highly motivated media professional to fill the position of Reporter & Presenter. This position is contractual for one (1) year.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong passion for journalism, broadcast presentation, and storytelling. He or she will be responsible for researching, reporting, writing, and presenting compelling business news and feature stories for CBX across multiple platforms. This role combines traditional reporting with on-camera presentation, requiring versatility, professionalism, and a strong command of current business and economic affairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Manager – Operational & Technical Support, the successful candidate’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Researching, writing, and producing news releases, feature stories, photographs/captions, and TV scripts for CBX publications and broadcasts.
Presenting news and features live and recorded for television and digital platforms.
Conducting live and pre-recorded interviews with stakeholders in business, government, and the wider community.
Delivering engaging, accurate, and timely reports that meet CBX’s editorial standards.
Assisting with the production and presentation of programmes (live and delayed).
Meeting strict deadlines while ensuring accuracy, clarity, and journalistic integrity.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A first degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media & Communication, or a related field.
At least three (3) years’ professional experience in reporting, writing, and/or broadcast journalism.
Prior experience as a television or radio presenter will be a distinct asset.
Must be confident and capable of live television presentation and public speaking.
