QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Professional Qualification:
A Quantity Surveyor for an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company, you will be responsible for managing the costs and financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. Your will ensure that projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the EPC or construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- To prepare cost estimates and control costs for potential projects
- To prepare tender documents which include detailed information about the project’s requirements and specifications
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings to determine material quantities and labor requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement officers to obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- To collaborate with project managers to create project budgets and cost plans
- To ensure compliance to budget constraints and monitor all project costs and expenses during project execution
- Implement cost control measures and provide cost-saving recommendations.
- To prepare and evaluating contracts and tender documents
- To review contract documents to ensure that all cost-related clauses and conditions are properly considered.
- Assess and manage variations and changes to construction plans and costs.
- Track and document changes in project scope and update cost estimates accordingly.
- Identify potential cost-related risks and opportunities in projects and negotiate contracts
- Develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare regular cost reports, providing insights into project expenditure and cost trends.
- Conduct cost analysis and cost comparisons for different project components.
- To prepare interim and final payment valuations for subcontractors and suppliers.
- To verify the accuracy of invoices and applications for payment.
