Are you passionate about food safety? Join GCG Catering (KIN) as a Quality Coordinator! The Quality Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and improving food safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, international and airline standards

GCG Group Jamaica is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries across the US, Caribbean, Central and South America. We are seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals to join our team in the capacity of Quality Coordinator at our Kingston location.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to ensure compliance with company standards, airline client requirements, and both local and international regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance checks on production, storage, and sanitation processes to ensure that procedures are being followed and documented accurately.
  • Investigate and document all non-conformances and work with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to promptly address and resolve quality and safety issues that may arise during operations.
  • Maintain proper custody and control of quality documentation, including manuals, records, reports, and inspection checklists.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including those conducted by airline clients, quality assurance agencies, and regulatory authorities.
  • Organize and manage annual food handler’s permit renewals in collaboration with public health authorities.

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Technology or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a food production environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
