Quality Control Technician
A leading food manufacturing company located in Manchester, Jamaica, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of food safety and quality, supporting both regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
Verify Supplier Certificates of Analyses (COAs).
Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products.
Monitor critical in-process quality parameters to identify deviations or non-conformances.
Conduct sensory evaluations on finished goods.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate test records, logs, and batch release documentation.
Document non-conformances and deviations.
Assist with development and validation of quality documentation.
Perform daily calibration of laboratory equipment.
Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and allergen control procedures are followed.
Support food safety and quality training sessions for employees.
Participate in internal and external audits related to food safety and quality programs.
Diploma in Food Science or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in food quality control (preferred).
Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
Motivated, proactive, and willing to learn.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs.).
