The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the daily work processed meets the established standards of quality outlined in the policy documentation. The incumbent will also assist with the implementation and monitoring of quality control procedures, guidelines and standards.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Daily Audit of claims and Administration (MEMBER MANAGEMENT) for all territories across all systems
  • Liaise with the Senior Manager – Insurance Operations to provide updates and comments on Quality Assurance results from the Audits.  
  • Update and maintain timely and accurate Quality Assurance records and reports.
  • To provide technical advice to Internal Customers.
  • Ensure the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with industry and Company guidelines
  • Manage any complaints associated with a claim in accordance with CX Guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with legal and industry regulatory requirements and customer quality standards set by the Company.  
  • Assist management with identifying training needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for relevant learning and development programmes.
  • Attend and contribute at claims committee meetings.
  • Complete any other job-related function relevant to the EBHL Division.
KEY TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Knowledge and understanding of the core principles of insurance and how this is applied on a day to day basis.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the range of insurance products and services available in the market and how that knowledge can be used to meet client needs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and how to meet these on a day to day basis.
  • Knowledge of how claims should be handled and managed.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the factors that affect the performance of the portfolio and how risk exposure can be monitored and controlled.
  • Knowledge of Beacon and the wider insurance market place and how this is applied on day-to-day basis.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
 
  • Bachelor degree in Business Management or Business Administration  
  • Minimum of 5 -12 years in Employee Benefits
  • Minimum 5 -8years Claims Processing or Underwriting and HIA
  • Pursuing HIA designation and or ALHC (Grade I)
  • HIA designation and or ALHC (Grade II and III)
