Kiss Baking Company (Jamaica) is seeking to recruit a Quality & Product Development Officer who will be responsible for the execution and monitoring of quality control measures and product development processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Monitors new activities/processes for accurate documentation and validation.
2. Audits quality control measures and tracking programs.
3. Recommends new or adjusted procedures in the plant to address safety, quality, sanitation, or food safety issues
4. Identifies non-conformances (safety and production), and ensures root cause analysis and corrective actions are documented and implemented.
5. Investigates and implements corrective actions for customer complaints.
6. Ensures adherence to the Company’s established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Quality requirements.
7. Ensures that sanitation and hygiene standards are met in accordance with regulatory requirements.
8. Reviews and prepares daily and monthly production reports on the status of key performance indicators.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS

• Sound knowledge of general production operation standards.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other associated software.
• Sound knowledge of the safety policies and procedures required for a production environment

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Post Secondary Education in Food Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Management, Production, or equivalent qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution.

• Two (2) years’ experience in a Similar or relevant position in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
