QUALITY ASSURANCE & QMS SUPERVISOR

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Assurance, Safety, Sanitation, Quality Management System (QMS) and Environment portfolios.
• Coordinate and manage testing programs for raw materials, finished goods and in-line processes
• Develop, implement and manage controls relating to portfolio areas
• Spearhead QMS and certification programs ensuring compliance, conformance and retention.
• Proactively monitor and ensure protection of the environment and compliance with regulatory standards and best practice.
• Prepare and manage budget and payroll for assigned areas.

Qualification, Competence, Requirements

• BSc in Chemical Technology / Food Chemistry
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Trained quality train-the-trainer auditor
• Valid Foods Handlers Permit
• Exposure and experience with quality management and food safety systems, ISO, HACCP, etc.
• Flexible, able to work rotating 8-12 hrs. shifts including Nights and weekends
• Effective leadership, analytical and time management skills
