QHSE Assistant (Acado Foods)

The QHSE Assistant supports the effective implementation and monitoring of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) systems within the Warehouse, Distribution, and administrative facilities

Summary:

The QHSE Assistant supports the effective implementation and monitoring of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) systems within the Warehouse, Distribution, and administrative facilities. The role focuses on assisting with inspections, data collection, reporting, and follow-up actions to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety practices. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Support the identification of workplace safety hazards and assist in implementing control measures across the Warehouse and Administrative buildings.
• Assist in the reporting, logging, and documentation of incidents, accidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis activities under the guidance of the QHSE Officer/Manager.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with QHSE requirements, GMP standards, food safety programs, HACCP plans, and company policies.
• Assist with routine weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety inspections across offices, warehousing, and distribution facilities.
• Assist during internal, external, and regulatory inspections (e.g., OSHA, food safety audits).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date QHSE records, logs, and reports, ensuring timely completion.
• Assist in maintaining training records and documentation.
• Communicate potential risks or issues that may impact safety, quality, or operational continuity to the QHSE Supervisor/Manager
• Perform any other job-related duties assigned by the Supervisor or designate to support company objectives. 

Position Requirements: 

• Undergraduate Degree preferably in Food Science or Natural Science, Health and Safety or any relevant certification such as Nebosh
• A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a quality-related or Warehouse environment.
• Proficient in MS Suite and working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills with attention to detail. 

Other Skills/Attributes required:

• Knowledge and experience in Food Distribution and Warehouse Management.
• Knowledge of GMP, QHSE and Food Safety Standards and Policies.
• Ability to structure data-trending analysis, problem solving, and decision-making.
