The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for Development and Construction is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of projects meet the highest quality standards from inception to completion.

The QA/QC Manager for Development and Construction is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of projects meet the highest quality standards from inception to completion. This role involves overseeing quality assurance processes, implementing quality control measures, and collaborating with various teams to uphold excellence in development and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC plans for development and construction projects.
  • Establish quality control procedures and guidelines to maintain adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and processes to identify and address quality issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Review project designs, plans, and specifications to ensure they align with quality standards and client expectations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of quality inspections, reports, and non-conformance issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on QA/QC processes and best practices.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and third-party inspectors to facilitate inspections and approvals.
  • Continuously improve QA/QC processes and procedures based on industry best practices and lessons learned from projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in QA/QC management within the development and construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles, standards, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
  • Certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Construction Quality Manager (CCQM) preferred.
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools for documentation and analysis.
  • The QA/QC Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that projects are delivered with the highest level of quality and compliance. This position requires a dedicated professional with a keen eye for detail, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to excellence in all phases of development and construction.
