ROLE PURPOSE
To manage end-to-end procurement activities ensuring timely, efficient, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
DIMENSIONS
Financial Scope: Budget tracking for procurement and cost optimization.
Technical: Support procurement planning, supplier evaluation and contract management.
Organizational: Interface with suppliers, subcontractors, logistics and internal teams.
INTERFACES
Internal: Procurement, Equipment, Construction, and Finance teams
External: Suppliers, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Inspection Agencies, and Regulatory Authorities
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Core: Compliance with logistics policies, inventory management systems, and applicable laws.
Procurement: Prepare and issue requests for quotations, evaluate bids, negotiate terms and finalize purchase orders. Monitor delivery schedules and ensure service quality and specifications.
Documentation: Maintain procurement logs, supplier databases and contract logs.
Reporting: Provide updates on procurement status, risks, and cost-savings. Periodic progress reports.
Compliance: Adherence to regulatory requirements. Support for audits and inspections
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Core & Experience
•Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent professional experience
•Previous in experience in procurement of supply chain management, preferably in Construction or Infrastructure projects.
•Familiarity with International Procurement Standards and Custom procedures.
•Knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation
•Excellent negotiation and coordination skills
•Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems and Procurement software
•Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented
•Able to work independently and collaboratively
•Strong communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills
Productivity
•Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
