We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our executive leadership team at Royalton Hotels & Resorts, ensuring operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences, and seamless coordination across all hotel departments.

We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our opening team at Royalton Vessence Barbados, our newest adults-only luxury resort located on the island’s iconic Platinum Coast.

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing and overseeing all purchasing activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement of goods and services for the resort.
  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies aligned with operational needs, budget objectives, and brand standards.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable service levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate procurement policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinating closely with Operations, Finance, F&B, and Warehouse teams to anticipate demand and ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Leading the sourcing and onboarding of local and international suppliers in line with sustainability and quality standards.
  • Supporting the pre-opening process by coordinating procurement timelines, FF&E, OS&E, and operational readiness.
  • Preparing and analyzing purchasing reports, cost analyses, and savings initiatives to support financial performance.
  • Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards related to purchased goods and services.

 

The ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management within the hospitality industry, preferably in luxury or all-inclusive resorts.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel procurement processes, supplier negotiation, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Proven experience working with pre-openings and fast-paced operational environments.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to purchasing.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and a results-driven mindset.
