Purchasing Manager

The Tryall Club is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement process, manage supplier relationships, coordinate imports and customs clearance, and ensure cost-effective purchasing in line with our quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record in purchasing and logistics management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, negotiate, and secure the best value in quality, price, delivery, and service.

  • Coordinate importation and customs clearance of goods for the Club and homeowners.

  • Maintain supplier relationships, service agreements, and purchasing policies.

  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with Club policies.

  • Oversee inventory records, pricing data, and vendor performance.

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments.

  • Support budget forecasting, cost control, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Manage procurement activities, including bids and requests for proposals (RFPs).

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate purchasing department staff.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, AAT Level II/III, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing, logistics, or related field.

  • Knowledge of the Customs Act and industry purchasing standards.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant accounting software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently.
