Public Relations Manager

The Role

We’re seeking a skilled Public Relations Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a confident communicator and strategic leader who excels in media relations, client management, and creative storytelling. You’ll be expected to lead a team, oversee content quality, and drive impactful outcomes for clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing the team’s work, providing strategic guidance, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated PR and communications strategies
  • Manage multiple client accounts with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Guide and support team members at all levels; provide feedback, mentorship, and editorial oversight
  • Review and edit written materials to ensure quality, clarity, and alignment with client objectives
  • Build and maintain strong media relationships across various sectors
  • Write and edit press releases, speeches, talking points, and thought leadership content
  • Lead crisis communications and reputation management efforts
  • Collaborate on cross-platform campaigns, events, and messaging strategies
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance and media coverage

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in public relations or communications
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client management abilities
  • Established network of media contacts and a history of successful media placements
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Committed to guiding and developing team performance and quality of work
