Our client is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, self motivated, results-driven property development expert to manage projects for the church that will generate sustainable income aligned with its long-term financial goals.

The Role

Reporting to the Property Advisory Board the role is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the planning, development, optimization and commercialization of property assets. The position supports the implementation of opportunities for the responsible use of the church’s properties, land, facilities, and other assets, ensuring alignment with the mission, ministries, and overall financial health.

  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and financial analyses to evaluate the viability of present and potential property development.
  • Develop a multi-year property development pipeline to include technical, financial, legal and risk assessment.
  • Contract and manage external development professionals including architects, engineers and quantity surveyors.
  • Liaise with government agencies and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain accurate property registers, project documentation suitable for audit review.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure milestones are met and budgets are adhered to.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and manager relationships with tenants and community members. 

Preferred Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, Architecture, Construction Management, Finance, Business or related field.
  • Post graduate qualification in property development, finance or project management is an asset.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in property development, real estate investment or project delivery within the Caribbean.
  • Working knowledge of the Real Estate Board of Jamaica regulations, local construction standards and government procurement guidelines.
  • Experience in financial feasibility analysis, capital financing, contracts, leases or service agreements.
  • Ability to structure joint ventures or development partnerships.
  • Demonstrates integrity, humility, a committed Christian with a servant-leadership mindset.
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving, decision making, analytic, time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project planning and implementation.
  • Sound knowledge of Jamaica’s Building Codes, Standards and Regulations.
  • Required to travel islandwide.
