Projects Lead

To lead the design and review of engineering solutions and initiatives to optimize core operational processes and realize new engineering opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivers assigned projects according to the Company’s Capital Value Project process, and Operating Management System and associated reporting requirements.
• Conducts an initial scoping exercise of the project to facilitate the assignment of the relevant discipline engineers.
• Identifies the required support functions (HSE, Procurement, Construction Management, etc.) and liaise with the relevant Managers to assign resources to the project.​
• Manages all stakeholders and coordinates delivery from all project team members (Discipline Engineers and support functions).
• Liaises with the Planning and Performance team and prepares the required schedules, progress reports, inclusive of cost and schedule updates.
• Collaborates with the Procurement Team on the documents required to conduct Invitation to Bid / Tendering inclusive of issue, pre-bid meetings, site visits, clarifications, evaluations, recommendations and preparation of approval documentation where relevant.
• Manages contractors in line with the relevant engagement instrument e.g. Purchase Order / Outline Agreement to ensure job/project milestones are met, as well as coordinates relevant documentation and approval processes for managing payments.
• Coordinates the execution of assigned projects in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Directs activities and provides assurance that construction, installation, and operational testing conforms to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
• Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.
