Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Project Management Office team in the capacity of:

 

Project Officer

 

Take primarily responsibility for providing project administrative and coordination support for project management team members to ensure timely preparation of project documents and helping to support the effective budget and financial management process within the Group Project Management Office.

 

Give support to the Programme Manager at a level that will enhance the effective operation of the department and the achievement of the goals and objectives.

 

As a Project Officer, you will:

 

  • Provide project administrative support.
  • Create and update action logs and follow up with the assigned persons to ascertain the status.
  • Support the Programme Manager in the preparation of weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports for Management meetings and all other requests.
  • Prepare presentations for GPMO as required.
  • Prepare, submit and follow up on project-related invoices for payment processing.
  • Assist in coordinating and promoting various special projects and social events.
  • Follow-up on contract preparation and/or approval from suppliers.
  • Make preparations for the onboarding of new project team members.
  • Contribute to, and participate in the development and maintenance of the Group Project Management Office Department objectives.
  • Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

 What do you need?

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree of related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) year’s working experience in project management or administrative services.
  • Project management certification, training or experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of banking and financial products and the business environment. 
  • Results-oriented, sound time management, and organizational skills.
  • Quality focused and detail oriented.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
