The JESS RMO Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects within the Client’s functional portfolio and supporting the Client’s program managers and portfolio leads throughout the project lifecycle from project initiation to project closure.

About Us:
KPMG Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS) is a delivery center operating from Kingston, providing back-office support to KPMG U.S. under a team extension model. Our Risk Management Operations (RMO) function is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives and ensure operational excellence.


Role Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects across functional portfolios, supporting program managers and portfolio leads throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure. You’ll also play a key role in change management, stakeholder engagement, and driving continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project execution to achieve objectives and desired outcomes.
  • ​Develop business cases, perform ROI and breakeven analysis, and track metrics throughout the project lifecycle.
  • ​Act as a change agent: design and implement change management strategies, communications, and training.
  • ​Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful product delivery.
  • ​Provide real-time risk visibility and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
  • ​Deliver financial oversight, including budgeting, auditing, and reporting.
  • ​Build strong stakeholder relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for service delivery.
  • ​Lead and mentor a project team, ensuring performance excellence and professional growth.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of project management experience with proven success in managing complex, multi-departmental projects.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project; familiarity with tools like Clarizen is a plus.
  • ​Strong financial management and risk mitigation skills.

Certifications: PMP certification preferred; Six Sigma experience is a plus.

 

Competencies:

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • ​Ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive quality outcomes.
  • ​Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Special Conditions: 

  • KJESS uses a hybrid work model, allowing staff to work from home in Jamaica or in the office. Employees must be in the office at least five days per month, with more days possible if required by business needs.
  • Expected to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities
  • May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays
