JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will provide project management, coordination and administrative support towards the effective and timely implementation of the recycling project.

 

The Project Manager will be responsible for harmonizing the activities supported by the MOU between the Ministry of Health and Human Services and Carnival Cooperation and the initiatives implemented by the Environmental Health Department as well as organizing and coordinating the interventions planned under the terms and conditions of the project agreement.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work closely with the Environmental Health Department (EHD) and other stakeholders for planning, implementation and M&E of the project/ programme assigned;
  2. Accountable for the overall coordination, evaluation, management of project implementation;
  3. Lead a project team being responsible for the forward planning of the project to deliver the new waste and recycling service. Including preparing project documentation.
  4. Managing all resources, both human and financial, to achieve project completion to recognized goals within identified constraints.
  5. Provide technical inputs, support to the planning and implementation of the project/ programme activities in an objective-oriented manner, including quality assurance
  6. Organize the day-to-day management and deployment of the project activities.
  7. Provide technical and logistical support to the CEHO and Focal Point assigned to this project, notably access to data, reports and relevant stakeholders (local authorities, government technical agencies etc.).
  8. Ensure timely preparation of training programs designed for stakeholder’s, with respect to project review cycle;
  1.  To develop, manage and co-ordinate and lead the team with regards the provision and promotion of the waste and recycling services in line with the corporates and departments objectives.

10. Ensure timely preparation and submission of the project monthly work plans, progress reports, etc.;

11. Develop the Clean and Green initiative, focusing on reducing waste, behaviour change and engagement with the community to build social capital.

12. Assist with the implementation of new waste and recycling initiatives. This will include the development, preparation, training and monitoring of plans for service initiatives.

13. Ensure timely follow up implementation and report progress to the CEHO;

14. Attend meetings, training courses, and workshops as Project Manager when required;

15. Assist to and co-work with the CEHO (and others relevant staff) in planning and monitoring (financial and technical), facilitating the implementation in compliance with EHD requirements/ policies and in line with work plans;

16. Contribute to the overall Integrated Waste Management Strategy, work plan, program development, and other relevant activities as needed;

17. Other tasks assigned by CEHO or designate as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or Waste management, environmental management or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience of working at a senior level in waste management.
  • Proven experience of project management, developing services including monitoring contracts

 

SALARY: Grade 7.1 $57,438.00 per annum plus allowances
