PROJECT MANAGER

The Financial Services Commission (FSC) is an integrated financial services supervisor/regulator. Our mission is to regulate and supervise the securities, insurance, trust and corporate service providers and private pensions industries, for the protection of their customers, thereby enhancing public confidence in the financial sector of Jamaica.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Prepare project charters, business cases, and detailed project management plans in collaboration with project teams/owners.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and budgets.
  • Lead project teams in delivering activities, outputs, and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources, vendors, and consultants to achieve project goals.
  • Monitor and manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring adherence to scope and timelines.
  • Track progress against agreed baselines using performance metrics and dashboards.
  • Prepare and submit regular project status reports to the Project Sponsor, Steering Committee, and PMO/Strategy Office.
  • Identify, log, and manage project risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Implement change control procedures for modifications in scope, budget, or timelines.
  • Develop and implement communication and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Facilitate workshops, consultations, and feedback sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support change management activities including training, awareness campaigns, and adoption support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration or related field.
  • Professional training or certification in project management would be a distinct asset.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in a senior or managerial level or equivalent related experience and exposure.
