Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Project Coordinator to support our fibre network projects across Trinidad. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone interested in Project Management, Telecoms, Construction, or Electrical/Technical operations.
You will support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, reporting, procurement coordination, performance tracking, and general project control tasks across both build and O&M activities. Full training will be provided.
This role is primarily office-based, with occasional site visits to validate information, inventory, and project progress.
While the position is based in Trinidad, the role may involve supporting technicians and project teams in other Caribbean markets, some of which operate in different time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project scheduling and planning using MS Project.
- Assist with project estimates, material take-offs, and basic scopes of work.
- Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and weekly updates.
- Update and maintain project data in internal systems (job tickets, WFM tools, GIS apps).
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports - Progress, risks, SLAs, KPIs.
- Compile QC registers, materials logs, equipment logs, and closeout documents.
- Assist with requisitions and help manage materials, tools, and inventory usage.
- Track SLA compliance and operational performance metrics.
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure jobs, tickets, and corrective works are logged correctly.
- Assist with basic EHS compliance checks (training logs, permits, PPE).
- Prepare structured briefings and status updates for the Project Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction, Telecommunications, or a related technical field (preferred but not essential).
- Prior experience in a technical support, coordination, or project-related role.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office for tracking, reporting, and data analysis.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with field teams, supervisors, and suppliers.
- A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to work independently and within a project team.
- Willingness to conduct occasional site visits to verify project data or inventory (as needed).
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends during project peaks, tight deadlines, or urgent operational needs
